It seems like just as you buy your new smartphone, you hear that an even better one is just being released soon. This might be the case here today, as photos of the Nokia Arrow (Nokia Lumia 820) are released from a Chinese website. However, one of the funny things about these images are that, on the bottom right corner it claims the phone only has 335 MB of RAM. This is probably due to it being a prototype, we hope. One thing we do know though, is that it will most likely be running Windows 8 (shock).

LG Optimus G revealed with a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, LTE, and a 13 MP camera

LG was teasing this phone’s release months ago, making us all start to drool about the amazing phone that will be released. Well, now it’s here, in black and white (and red of course). The specs on this phone just wants you to throw out your iPhone against the wall and run out to pre-order this baby. The LG Optimus G‘s specs are as following: 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, LTE, 13 MP camera back-camera, 1.5 MP front-camera, and a True HD (1280 x 768) IPS LCD measuring up to 4.7inch. Running this baby up is a  2,100mAh battery. With everything squeezed together to form this amazing smartphone, it ends up being only 8mm thick. Finally, to add the cherry on top, while the screen is turned off, the color of the screen will match its body’s color.

Apple vs Samsung: Court rules in favor of Apple, which is awarded $1.04 billiont in damages

Companies from time and time again, love suing each other. The reason for that is, to increase profit margins. Therefore, in results of a 9-person jury in California,  Samsung received an utter defeat after being ordered to pay Apple  $1.04 billion dollars in damages. This is still a disappointment for Apple, as they were asking for almost twice as much (over 2.5 billion dollars to be exact). The exact number for Samsung’s lost is $1,049,343,540 dollars.

Acer Liquid Gallant, Liquid Gallant Duo launched in response to IFA upcoming event

Constantly, new phones are being built and released from a couple months to up to a year. Some of these new phones are, the Acer Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo,which are released in preparation for the IFA event, which will debut August 29th.  The difference between the two phones is that the Liquid Gallant Duo is of course dual SIM. They both run Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.4), and other features included are: 1GHz MT6575, 1GB RAM, 4.3-inch qHD display, 5-megapixel camera and a 1,500mAh battery. It’ll also come with 4GB on-board storage, and in black or white. Finally, whether you decide to purchase this budget phone or not, just make sure you wait for the IFA to thoughtfully know your market.

Panasonic appliances will be controlled by your phone

Since the age of TV remote controllers, remote controlling has been reinvented again and again. Panasonic thinks that you need to control your Panasonic appliances (refrigerators, TVs, speakers, etc…)  via an app on your smartphone instead of using a basic remote controller. They do have a point about convince, however, what are you going to do if a virus hits your appliances? Will they ruin your milk and meat? Or just cause your new Panasonic refrigerator to overheat and blowup? Make sure to tell us if that happens, because it would make a great story…

Samsung teases us with a video regarding Galaxy Note 2’s release

August 29th is moving closer to us, and so is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Samsung is already releasing the Galaxy Note 2 at IFA 2012, less then a year from its predecessor release, the Galaxy Note. Nevertheless, if you decide to buy it or not, director Wim Wenders has created a very intriguing teaser about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Check out this piece of artwork/phone above.

SMS virus hits Chinese Android app stores, over 500,000 phones infected

China Mobile has over 683 million subscribers making it a great place to pass a virus along. ‘Trojan!SMSZombie” a newly discovered virus that has infected over 500,000  phones by spreading via SMS in china. The Trojan attacks its victims by making unauthorized payments via Chinese Android app stores. Furthermore, this virus is hard to find as it makes small unnoticeable transactions when it attacking its victims. First spotted by TrustGo security firm on July 15th, it has the potential to infect many more, so be careful, as you never know what your really downloading.

Xiaomi Phones may enter the European market early 2013

Chinese online sources claim that Xiaomi might be releasing its successful phones in Europe as early as Q1 2013. The real question behind this statement is whether Xiaomi has the capabilities to expand its market in a completely uncharted area. Just to start off, Xiaomi will have to invest a lot of money in advertisement in Europe as not a lot of people are familiar with the brand. Finally, the funny part about this story is that Xiaomi has about 1.3 billion people in china to sell to, but that’s not good enough for them, of course.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note was a success, so the decided to add a 2, and add a sequel to the original best selling phone. The image you see above is what a phablet phone looks like. With a 5.5 inch screen, this device is mix between a phone and a tablet. It’s rumored to have Samsung’s Exynos 4 Quad processor, as well as 2GB of RAM and next-generation S-Pen technology. Although, even if you don’t like the whole S pen idea, with writing on your phone and all, you will certainly enjoy owning a pioneer phablet phone. Get ready to empty your wallet at the end of the year, when it gets released to the masses.

The release of the Xiaomi Phone 2 brings in a new era of $300 high-quality smartphones. The smartphone comes with a quad-core  Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB memory. Other benefits include a 2 MP front camera, and a 8 MP back camera. Wanting to buy it? Unfortunately, it will only be sold in China, so you’ll have to pre-order and ship it all the way here in October when it’s released.
