Windows 7 surpasses XP; Mac OS X takes a lead in front of Vista, without looking back

OS Stats Aug 2012

The operating system world war, has engulfed as all, from Windows to Mac. New August 2012 statistics show that Windows 7 has finally passed Windows XP, after years of convincing people to upgrade, Microsoft grins. However, on the other hand, Mac OS X has also taken a step forward in front of Vista, after years of Apple trying to mass market its Mac operating system. For me personally i’m always rooting for Windows, as when it’s time to work, you can always count on Windows to get the job done. Finally, for all you Linux fans out there you still have some share of the market. Take a look up top to see those numbers.

Nokia Lumia 820, AKA Nokia Arrow, photos leaked

Nokia Lumia 820 (Arrow)

It seems like just as you buy your new smartphone, you hear that an even better one is just being released soon. This might be the case here today, as photos of the Nokia Arrow (Nokia Lumia 820) are released from a Chinese website. However, one of the funny things about these images are that, on the bottom right corner it claims the phone only has 335 MB of RAM. This is probably due to it being a prototype, we hope. One thing we do know though, is that it will most likely be running Windows 8 (shock).

Microsoft Surface tablet possibly priced at $199, release date October 26th

Microsoft Surface Tablet

As we are heading closer to the early fall, where a lot of new gadget are being debuted, Microsoft has still to decide Surface tablet’s price tag. There have been backed up rumors that the tablet will be priced at $199 as Acer has been begging Microsoft to increase the price. The reason behind the plea is that Microsoft will be selling the tablets at a loss and will hope to earn its massive profits from accessories and add-ons to Windows 8. However, Acer cannot afford to do that, as their company’s cash reserves are dwarfed when standing next to Microsoft’s and they don’t even own the operating system. Although hopefully, for consumers sake it will be priced a $200. In other words, for $200 its a no-brainer purchase, if they decide to sell it at around $500, people will consider it, but at $1000 (around the same price as ultra-books) there’s no way that anyone would buy it, unless they have cash to spare. Finally, on October 26th we’ll hear how much our wallet will have to cry out when empty them.
